Introvert

We like being alone. Not in a moderate or normal kind, but more than "most of the time." It's how we re-energize or get back on track. If we do not participate in a conversation or do not join in, it isn't rejection. In fact, at times, we feel happy when appointments get cancelled. Sorry about that. But again, it doesn't mean that we don't like hanging out. And we need people to understand and respect that. Yet we can also be really active and talkative once we get our energy back and we feel like it. We also appreciate time with people around.

Being by yourself isn't a bad thing. People have their needs. It's just that for us, being alone tops the list.

Okay, I get it. This blog has been really depressing these past few weeks. Apologies to you and to myself. I think I owe myself some change. I'll try to get back to what I missed and that is seeing me being happy by appreciating even the littlest things around me and blogging about them. I just have to for myself.

Commercial / False Beauty in its Worst

Seeing ads featuring whitening products is not new but this Pond's White Beauty Cream tv ad made me worry more about this generation's definition of beauty. I am not hating Korean beauty (or whatever kind) yet this seems to be encouraging Pinays to patronize it and aspire to have this rather than accepting and feeling confident with just their "own" physical attributes. If this really is the demand or trend, do we really have to worsen everyone's impression about looks and all? What is so wrong about having a distinct Filipina skin anyway? I'm sorry, but this is plain bullshit. Commercial beauty is ruining women's understanding of "beautiful."
